Some Islamic acts and worships, such as Hajj and fasting, are dependent on the recognition of the crescent moon, and the confirmation of the first and last lunar months is important in this regard.<br />Based on the differences in jurisprudential and scientific foundations, there have been differences in the methods of confirming the first of the month (despite the similarities that exist). There are also narrations that show that the difference in the first of the month and the lack of understanding of the virtues of the month of Ramadan occur due to the punishment of oppression against the Ahlul Bayt, and especially Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). In fact, the situational effect of oppression against the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon him) and their dissatisfaction have led to the intensification of differences and the deprivation of these virtues even more.<br />During the period of the major occultation, the authority of the jurist and the authority of the marja' have been considered a way out of disputes and a way to achieve religious duties. By examining the Quranic evidence, narrations, and other analyses, solutions can be presented to respond to disputes in this regard. In any case, these disputes between scholars and authorities of taqlid do not arise from personal and non-scientific motives. قرآن کریم به حرکت ماه و منازلی که طی می کند اهمیت داده و آن را به عنوان معیار گاه شمار مردم قرار داده است، برخی از اعمال و عبادات اسلامی مانند حج و روزه ، منوط به شناخت هلال بوده و اثبات اول و آخر ماه‌های قمری از این نظر دارای اهمیت است.<br />بر اساس اختلافی که در مبانی فقهی و علمی وجود دارد در شیوههای اثبات اول ماه (با وجود اشتراکاتی که وجود دارد)، اختلافاتی بروز نموده است. روایاتی نیز وجود دارد که نشان می دهد اختلاف در اول ماه و عدم درک فضایل ماه رمضان به دلیل عقوبتِ ظلم به اهلبیت و خصوصاً امام حسین (علیهم السلام)، اتفاق میافتد، در واقع اثر وضعی ظلم به اهلبیت (علیهم السلام) و نارضایتی ایشان، باعث تشدید اختلافات و محروم شدن هر چه بیشتر از این فضایل بوده است.<br />در دوران غیبت کبری، ولایت فقیه و مرجعیت راه برون رفت از اختلافات و راهکار دستیابی به تکالیف شرعی دانسته شده است، با بررسی دلایل قرآنی، روایی و تحلیل های دیگر می توان راهکارهایی برای پاسخ به مناقشات در این مورد ارائه کرد و در هر صورت این اختلافات در بین علما و مراجع تقلید، از انگیزه های شخصی و غیر علمی ناشی نمی شود.
