Abstract
It can be deduced from all the narrations and reports after the martyrdom of the 11th Imam (as), Imam Mahdi (as) was introduced as the 12th Imam of the Shiites. The abundance of twelve narrations and other special narrations such as birth narrations and historical propositions confirms this belief. In the meantime, Kulayni has reported a narration whose appearance indicates the existence of division and the cessation of the issue of Imamate, after which the earth will be filled with justice by the Twelfth Imam.
Therefore, the present article has examined this narrative in a descriptive-analytical manner; The source and documentary study of this narration is the beginning that this article chooses to present the validity of the hadith, then the main point of the narration is examined with the help of other narrations. According to the meanings of Fitrat and its family narrations, it can be said that the meaning of Fitrat in the hadith does not mean the absence of the Imam and the existence of an interruption in the Imamate, rather it refers to the period of weakness and stillness of the Ahl al-Bayt.
